UPDATE: J.W.I.S MISSION COMPLETE PLUS FUN MOVIE OF THE SWIM

I am proud to announce that I completed my 10 kilometer solo marathon swim for charity on July 15th 2010. It took me 3 hours and 15 min to cross the beautiful Sea of Galilee. With the help of family, friends and generous strangers, we had raised over $3500 to date for Jesus Walked I Swam, which is $500 above our goal!  It was a total and complete success and people are still donating! Thank you all for all the support. This swim was one of the most beautiful, rewarding and meaningful experiences of my life.

I want to thank my family for being by my side (literally) on this swim and performing the all neccessary physical safety and emotional support.

Sincerely:
Eyal Feldman, marathon swimmer and activist for the elderly.

Support my marathon swim across the Sea of Galilee July 15th 2010

Have you heard of Jesus? Well he is the Jewish boy who was famous for walking across the Biblical Sea of Galilee. Well almost 2000 years later this Jewish boy will be swimming across, and I need your help!
My name is Eyal Feldman and this summer I am swimming a lone marathon swim across the Sea of Galilee in Northern Israel (largest body of water in Israel) on the morning of July 15th, 2010. This will be a non-stop 6 1/4 mile (10 km) marathon swim from the west shore to the east shore of the freshwater lake. Safety precautions are being taken as the rest of the Feldman family will sail alongside me for safety and to root for me on my swim. I will be raising funds equally for two organizations that I have volunteered for and that provide services for the elderly in both Los Angeles and in New York City. They are both very close to my heart.

1) S.A.G.E. Established in 1978 S.A.G.E. (Seniors Active in a Gay Environment) is the world's oldest and largest non-profit agency dedicated to serving and advocating for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender seniors.

2) J.H.A or The Jewish Home for the Aging in Los Angeles established in 1912 The Jewish Home is a non-profit organization that has been the place of safety and security, activity, wellness, and longevity for Jewish seniors — regardless of their financial ability — in a caring environment reflective of Jewish ideals.

I am asking my friends and loved ones to sponsor my swim with a donation of at least $30 or more.  We will collect all the funds and distribute them evenly between SAGE and the Jewish Home for the Aging. Every donation is eligible for a tax deduction. Please make checks out to the organization of your choosing, either SAGE or JHA or two separate checks for both and mail them to my office at:
